 Time to Think
« Thread Started on Feb 16, 2007, 7:48pm »

Isilra padded up onto the beach, and she sat in the cool, calming sand. Her thoughts drifted off with the waves lapping up on the beach, and a smile creaped across her face. The calming waves lulled her into an unguarded, peaceful trance. If only life could always feel this way, she thought wistfully. Plopping onto the sand, she rolled into the cool, inviting waves as they engulfed her mind with their calming sensation. She rolled blissfully in the water. The small clods of dirt that had rested in her fur floated off with each wave, and she stood to shake the water that plagued her body. She sprinted the span of the beach, and eventually she drew to a halt. With a hearty laugh, she fell onto the sand, and she looked up at the moon as it slowly rose high in the dark void of the sky.

Isilra's eyes drifted back to the waves that lapped at her paws, and she shivered slightly. As the stars slowly appeared around the moon, her heart pleaded to stay in that time forever. Such a wonderful moment. Life can be... so..... extraordinary, she happily thought, and she rolled to her side while gently drifting off into the light sleep that threatened to engulf her mind.

The cawing of birds settling around her roused Isilra from her light sleep. With a shake of her head, she stood and yawned. The beautiful beach still surrounded her, and she strode into the waves as they grabbed at her feet. The sounds of birds cawing threatened to lull her off to sleep once again, but she resisted the urge, and she plunged her muzzle into the cool water to seize a fish that circled her legs, taunting her. Eyes drifting, Isilra scanned the horizon as the sun sunk readily behind the line that divided her from the rest of the world. Sighing happily, she charged through the waters with her fish, splashing everywhere and creating a enormous commotion beneath the lake's depths. She headed for shore and shook the water that now threatened to freeze to her in the chilly air, and she sat to scratch her ear that afflicted her thoughts.

Isilra flopped on the beach, and her stomach growled anxiously for the fish clasped between her teeth. With two large gulps, the fish disappeared into the pit of her stomach, and she barked happily. She, once again, ran down the beach, but tripped over her own feet clumsily, and she fell face first into the sandy paradise. Nice. Right now, my life is... perfect, she realized with much happiness, and she laid on her back to gaze at the orbs of light glinting from above.

After resting for some time on the soft blanket of sand, Isilra stood up slowly, and her back leveled out with the horizon. She rose to her full height as her head creapt slowly upwards, and her muzzle parted in a high pitched howl. She lowered her head after a few seconds, and a smile cracked across her face as she padded back to her friends at the North De'mazur dens. I have it so good, she thought thankfully as she returned to the place she felt secure, with her friends.
