Locien sighed distressfully. Now both femmes were upset about something, and he appeared to be at the center. "For now Jalyne, I'll hold off on the promotion until I can better my judgement. It seems whatever decisions I make, it makes someone unhappy," he said. Although they may not be happy, he would just have to allow himself the time to judge better.

You weren't mean. You were just voicing your opinion. There is no laws against that. And I am not Beta. I am only a huntress. You have the superior ranking. And you deserve it. She looks at Locien. If I may, I'd like to give the spot of Beta to Caunwen. She deserves it. She has shown great leadership and is protective over the pack and it's alpha. As should be. She would make a great Beta.

Locien stared in disbelief as Caunwen left the den. "But Caunwen," he stuttered, but she didn't seem to aknowledge him. He stood up and said, "Jalyne, I'll be back." He exited the den and went after Caunwen. What if she gets hurt? I would never forgive myself, he thought as his mind wracked with worry. He found her scent, and followed it in the direction it led as he hoped it would lead him to her.

If anyone should leave, it should be me., she says to herself. She looks down then out after the brute. He cares for her alot. I am no good to them. She hates me. I can see her nostrils flare at the sight of me. Yes, I must go., she thinks to herself. She decides it is her time to go, before she outstays her welcome. And so she journeys off to find somewhere else to go, where she might be welcomed.
