Caunwen walked into the breath-taking forest and sighed. She could live here as a loner. She didn't need a pack like that. A pack that swam with so many lies. She laid down and curled up, but remained awake.

Locien rounded the area, his nose low to the ground as it searched for Caunwen. He spotted her, and he jogged up to where she laid. "Caunwen, are you alright?" he asked as his eyes glazed with worry. I hope I didn't upset her, he thought anxiously. "Caunwen, Jalyne isn't the beta, and you don't have to look up to her. Honestly, she can be a pain in the butt," he said as he looked at the femme. "If I did something to upset you, please tell me. So I can try to make it right..."

Caunwen jerked her head upright, startled that Locien had come looking for her. She struggled to her feet and lowered her head. " You did nothing.." The fae sighed and rubbed her eyes with her forepaw. " I just had my opinions, that's all...

Locien smiled and said, "M'lady, I'm sure your opinions were well grounded. For how she acted, I'm seriously considering demoting Jalyne." He looked off to one side, and his shoulders sagged slightly. "She seems to have no respect for my authority, and I have put up with it until now." His complexion turned gruff, and he turned back to Caunwen. "I'm done with her pushing me around."

Caunwen shifted uncomfortably. " I don't hate her.. I just don't appreciate the way she tries to run the show. The fae looked at him forlornly. She didn't want him to be upset. She brightened. Here. I can make the impression of an elk. The white fae then tried to squeeze her face in to the shape, causing herself to grotesque her image. Struggling hard to maintain the pose, she lost balance and fell on her face. Great..

Laughing, Locien tried to imitate Caunwen's elk impersonation. He chuckled, saying,Who am I kidding? No one can make a face like that!" He looked around, and said, "Hey, I'll make you a bet." His eyes glistened competitively, and he sat down in front of her, awaiting her question that was sure to follow.

The white fae sat up abruptly. Her eyes perked forward in interest. Okay! What is it? She asked. Caunwen licked her paws daintily and stared at Locien. ....He has a bug on his cheek... She snorted and smacked the side of the Alpha's face with her paw.

Locien snarled in shock as he was smacked in the face. "What was that for?" he cried. He staggered slightly, as the blow hadn't been expected, and it was quite strong for a femme. That really hurt, he thought, upsetted. He sat down and pouted slightly. "I'm not going to tell you anymore," he taunted her with a smile on his face. He stood up on his rear legs and danced around, just mocking Caunwen for the heck of it. He sat back down and grinned hysterically at the femme, just egging her on.

Caunwen didn't flinch whenever Locien snarled at her, but laughed. She noted his pout and licked the lip that was sticking out. There was a bug on your face, silly! She giggled, then proceeded to pout herself whenever Locien withheld the information. Locien, tell me! She whined as she watched him dance around her.

Sticking his tongue out, Locien shook his head playfully. "That bug, I doubt it," he teased. "You were just looking for a reason to smack me!" He continued to dance around her, laughing hysterically at her pouting. "I'm not gonna fall for the lip," he taunted, "be careful, or a bird might mistake it for a perch!"

Caunwen sucked in her lip and glared at Locien. She watched him dance for another second, then suddenly pounced on him, sending both of them tumbling through the golden flowers. She arched her neck back and her grey eyes stared into his. Gotcha. She said softly.

Locien looked back into her eyes, and he gently licked Caunwen's muzzle, then smiled. "That, you did," he replied, then he shifted a little, trying not to hurt her, but to get out from underneath the pressure that was crushing his abdomen.

The white fae shook her head as if startles, then moved off the wiggly alpha. She felt her skin go red under her coat and hoped that Locien wouldn't notice. So, um....whats Jalyne doing? She stammered, a million thoughts going through her head.

Embarrassed, Locien stuttered, "Um.. I'm not really sure. I guess she's back at the den. Don't ask me!" He, too, reddened under his coat and looked away. Man, I just dug a deep hole, he thought nervously, and he sat up, staring off into the distance. He craned his neck, trying to see back to their lands, but he could smell Jalyne's scent was elsewhere than their lands. That's peculiar, he thought.

Locien leisurely scratched at the back of his neck to hide his embarrasment. "So... um.. how've things been going?" he stammered. That sounded stupid, he thought angrily. "You know, getting along with anyone?" He smiled, and he padded over to her. He sat close in front of her, and continued saying, "Anyone.... special?"
